Your First Visit
Thank you for choosing Northwest Endodontics for your endodontic care! We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to our office.
In the meantime, we invite you to look over the following information and browse our website to familiarize yourself with our practice and ensure you are adequately prepared for your first appointment with us. Of course, if you have any questions before your first visit, we welcome you to reach out at any time.
We want to make patients as comfortable as possible! We have team members that can speak Polish, Spanish, and Russian, in addition to English. If you have concerns about our team members being able to communicate with you effectively, please contact our office and we will arrange competent care to the best of our ability.
What To Expect During Your First Visit
Your first appointment at Northwest Endodontics will most likely consist of a consultation, during which our endodontists will explain your diagnosis and treatment options.
Typically, we may also provide or perform your treatment on the same day. However, patients who have more complex medical histories or who need more extensive treatment plans might require separate appointments: one for consultation and evaluation and a second appointment for treatment.
What To Bring to Your First Appointment
To ensure your first appointment at Northwest Endodontics goes smoothly and efficiently, we ask that you be prepared to provide the following information at the time of your consultation:
- Your referral slip
- A list of medications you are currently taking (including prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, and supplements)
- Medications you might require prior to your endodontic treatment (antibiotics or sedatives)
- Your dental insurance and/or health insurance card and information
We also ask that you please alert our office of any medical conditions or special needs you have that might be of concern before your surgery, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves, artificial joints, rheumatic fever, or potential COVID-19 symptoms and/or exposure.
Forwarding Radiographs (X-Rays)
If your primary dentist has taken recent X-rays (within six months of your treatment at Northwest Endodontics), you can request that their office forward them to ours, or you can pick up copies from your dentist’s office and bring them to your appointment.
If you do not have recent radiographs on file with your dentist’s office or additional diagnostic images are needed for your treatment, they will be taken at our facility at the time of your consultation or treatment.
Important Note for Patients Under 18 Years of Age
A legal parent or guardian must accompany all patients under the age of 18 during their consultation visit.
